Parents can add "pre-suggested" chores that are age approriate or create custom chores or goals that adhere to a schedule. Each new chore or goal you add will have daily, weekly, monthly or one-time scheduling options.
For the modern-day parent, if you had an allowance as a kid it was probably in the form of a pat on the back, maybe a high-five or if you were lucky, some cash. The modern-day parent is doing it different though, often digitally. Whether it's a Roblox or Xbox live subscriptions, cash is barely used in the modern day family.
Within the PopChart Family "Bank" both parents & kids can view each deposit or withdrawl, including a reason (if provided), amount and date with a time stamp. As a parent and while within the Parent Mode app (coming soon!), you can make deposits or you can see when a completed chore automatically rewards with a deposit. You can also apply some automation, like an optional automatic daily deposit of 1 point or repeat chores or goals worth points.
As a kid, and while in kid mode, you can receive an optional notification when your parent has made a deposit or withdrawl. You can also keep track of what you've spent, View your balance and save up to unlock new items in the Avatar Shop or purchase rewards added by your Parents.
As the parent, you can optionally message and reward your child when you notice a positive behavior, encouraging them to continue with the positive behavior.
Using the Popchart virtual currency ("Points") parents can reward kids for positive behaviors and we reward them with in-app achievements, encouraging more of these behaviors.
The PopChart Avatar Shop is preloaded with over 500 PopChart Kids Avatar items, like hats, beards, eyeballs, shoes, costumes and tons more. PopChart Kids can redeem their earned virtual currency ("Points"), for Avatar items or custom items added by the parent, like "20 Minutes of Extra Screen Time", "Pick the Movie on Movie Night" or Link's (our 4 year old) personal favorite "Family Dance Party". You can also add real-world items, like a trip to our favorite local trampoline park in Olympia, BoomShaka!
You can decide how little to how much communication and notifications you want to receive. By default, once your kid has completed a task, you will receive a notification. You can decide to reward the task by depositing a point and/or you can leave a reply like "don't forget to also make your bed".
Our commitment to parents for the Kid Mode game.
We do not and never will, ask for personal details about anyone in your family. Kid sub user accounts have the following data fields: Username, Grade Level, and a Pin number (for login/logout of the apps). The parent has full control over their PopChart Kid sub user accounts. Kid accounts are unable to upload images or chat with anyone other than the parents. Finally, Parents billing details are not stored at all by PopChart, rather by our Payment Processing partner used while signing up, most likely Apple Pay, Google Play Store or Stripe.com.
